EVENT STEWARD


An Event Steward (or Event Marshall) is present at events to provide a direct and ongoing interaction between the ground management and the spectators. The responsibilities of an event steward includes: the overcrowding of the venue, directing spectators to exits, seats or where facilities are within the grounds.

The Course lasts 3 days and is a one-time qualification, with no requirement to renew the qualification. An SIA licence is not required to be an event steward/marshal.

Attendees will be taught how to keep spectators safe, crowd dynamics, what your legal rights are as an Event Steward, how to deal with conflict.
